Château de la Gabelle: A Legacy of Lavender and Provençal Heritage

Since 1838, the family behind Château de la Gabelle has cultivated lavender in the heart of Provence at their fortified farm in Ferrassières, Drôme Provençale, the remains of which date back to 13th century. Now in its 9th generation, the family proudly carries on traditions rooted in respect for nature, local craftsmanship, and people-focused values.

Every product from Château de la Gabelle is crafted with ingredients grown on the estate—from hand-harvested fine lavender and lavandin to ancient grains and honey, all produced using artisanal, organic methods. Family-approved recipes celebrate Provençal flavors and artisanal techniques, bringing the best of the region to your table.
